Thoughtfully Planned Custom-Build Plots
We offer a limited number of generously sized, carefully planned plots in Aberdeen, designed to support homes that feel calm, practical and personal.
Each plot is assessed with everyday living in mind, considering sunlight, privacy, access, outlook and long-term flexibility, so good design decisions are easier from the very beginning.

Supported Custom-Build Journey
Strawberry Grange follows a supported custom-build approach.
This gives you meaningful input into how your home is laid out and how it works for your life, without the pressure of managing a complex self-build on your own.
You don’t need prior building experience. Guidance is provided at the right stages to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Plot-Led Design Guidance
Rather than starting with a fixed house type, the process begins with the plot.We do have farmhouse, traditional North East barn, and single storey styles to help illustrate what is possible and which can be used as a 'starter' for your individual design. These are not what you 'must have' - rather illustrative possibilities to help clients vis ualise what a plot could look like once built.
This allows your home’s layout to be shaped around:
how you live day to day
light, garden connection and privacy
storage, flow and future needs
The result is a home designed around real life, not a template.
Beginner-Friendly Information & Honest Advice
Custom build can feel daunting if you’ve never explored it before.

A Small, Considered Community
Strawberry Grange is intentionally limited in scale.
This allows us to focus on:
quality over quantity
space and privacy between homes
a cohesive, settled feel to the place
time and attention for each plot purchaser
The aim is not just well-designed houses, but a neighbourhood that feels good to live in.

By starting with the plot, focusing on everyday comfort, and keeping the process accessible and well-explained, Strawberry Grange offers a more measured way to approach building your own home. Whether you’re actively planning or simply gathering information for the future, this is about giving you space, clarity, and confidence to make decisions that genuinely suit your life.
What is a supported custom-build?
A supported custom-build allows you to have meaningful input into how your home is laid out and how it works for your life, while receiving guidance at key stages. You’re not expected to manage the build yourself or have specialist knowledge.
Do I need building or construction experience to choose a custom-build plot?
No. Prior building experience isn’t required. The process is designed to be accessible, with clear explanations and guidance provided as decisions arise.
How much flexibility do I have in the design of my home?
There is a huge amount of flexibility in exterior and interior layout, room use, and overall design, allowing your home to reflect how you live day to day. Designs are shaped within planning guidance and the character of the site.
Does the home design really start with the plot?
Yes. Each plot is considered individually, taking into account light, outlook, privacy, garden connection, and long-term use. This helps create a home that fits its setting rather than forcing a fixed template onto the land.
Is Strawberry Grange suitable if I’m still at an early or exploratory stage?
Yes. Many people begin by gathering information rather than making immediate decisions. Early-interest updates are available to help you understand the process and explore whether supported custom-build is right for you, without obligation
